Fab Inspiration

When looking for a topic to write about I turned to The Core by Fabletics. A few years back when subscription boxes and delivery services began to pop up like daisies in Spring. The first one I ever subscribed to was Fabletics, to this day I am so glad I did. I read a post on their blog, here's the link: http://blog.fabletics.com/2018/02/blog-happiness-planner-self-care/
Like everyone else my life gets hectic and I get caught up in the hustle and bustle of work, school and family life. This post took me through step by step what I can do to take a step back from everything and put a focus on selfcare.
Step 1: Do things that align with who you truly are.
The five minute exercise that the writer has you do really does help paint a clear picture of what you need to do in order to make yourself happy.
Step 2: Schedule happiness in your daily life.
Making a conscious effort to do the things that make you happy and make your spirits lift is everything. Doing the things in life that make you happy will inevitably keep you POSITIVE!
Step 3: Pay attention to how you feel every day.
Being so tired that you are burnt out flat out stinks! Personally between working a full time job and taking as many college courses I can to finish my degree and learn more, sleep what is that? Knowing when to relax and recharge for a few hours is so important. Taking one day at a time is the only way to get through life.
Step 4: Surround yourself with happy, positive people.
Energy is contagious, good or bad, you can catch it like the flu in the fall. Personally one of my worst traits is that my outlook can change on a whim, if someone around me is in a crappy mood well guess who else is, this girl. It stinks but that's why it's so important to surround yourself with people who look on the sunny side of life.
With the school semester starting back up in a week or so\being committed to self care on a daily basis is going to be so important. Self care should not just be a trip to the nail salon once a month, it should be a daily effort. Taking an hour to sit down and meditate, read a book, or just write down how you're feeling at that moment can seriously help your own mental state. I can feel the stress that I was feeling after coming home from work melting away as I write this blog post. As silly as it may sound, this is some type of therapy or self care in itself.
