It's the Country in Me

For as long as I can remember music has been a major part of my family. I grew up always listening to music, watching my dad and big brother play in brass bands at church and when I was old enough joining in myself. When I was little there was always music playing on car rides, whether it was a short trip from home to Acme or a longer trip out to visit cousins.

On Sunday mornings we would pile into my dad's car and typically the genre of choice was country, we would listen to artists like Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks and Toby Keith. I remember being 6 or 7 years old singing "How Do You Like Me Now" in the backseat with my little sister. Singing the lyrics so strongly, as if to say, "Yeah! You'll see." Check out the music video below! It's actually pretty funny, I'd never seen it before.

Well these factors all made my taste in music the mish-mosh that goes from pop to country to Disney classic movie hits to rap and back again. I honestly couldn't be happier there's a genre of music for every mood I could ever feel.

One of my favorite ways to spend my summer is going to live concerts. This summers concert was a country concert I went to with my dad, aunt, uncle and a few cousins. To be completely honest I hadn't really listened to either of the artists albums. I had most certainly heard of both, one I didn't really listen to and the other I hadn't listened to in a few years. Although I was more than happy to go to the concert and enjoy the day with my family! So the couple months or so I downloaded all the albums available on Amazon Prime Music and started studying the music, because who goes to a concert and doesn't know at least the artist's most popular songs? To my pleasant surprise I actually liked several songs by both artists. I was so excited to go to see Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town, time for the Bandwagon Tour!

I think one of my favorite parts of the concert was when both Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert performed each others hits all together. Check out a clip below!

Summer is just about gone, so here's to next summer and many more summer concerts!
